Panel 2: "SuperPanel": Institutions Share Best Practices in NextGen Education
The NextGen Panel 2 "SuperPanel" will consist of a broad cross section of NTAS Educator participants who will address the state of NextGen Performance Based Operations within their institutions, and ideas about how to prepare graduates to enter an environment in which NextGen operations are the norm. Each panelist will be asked to provide an introduction and brief (about 5 minutes) verbal description of their program. If the panelist desires, a brief PowerPoint may be used to illustrate graphical concepts; such presentations to be provided in advance to the moderator for collation into a master file. A discussion session among panelists and from the floor will follow, with the moderator serving as timekeeper and discussion manager. A set of notes on issues and responses in the discussion sessions will be recorded and provided in the Workshop Proceedings, as will any presentations used by panelists. Panelists will be encouraged to cite two or three of the best practices in their institutions in SMS education and laboratory participation. Example best practices are provided below from which to select, or panelists may identify their own.
NextGen Panel 2 Participants
The SuperPanel design is based on the presumption that each institution has some activity that prepares their graduates for an NextGen environment in either or both of the education and laboratory programs, and asks panelists to reflect on this idea and select no more than three emphasis topics for their opening remarks. Suggested areas of emphasis are found below, please feel free to create your own.
Topics: Please consider the following; select no more than three topics of emphasis in opening remarks:
