Technologies to be discussed.
- Virtual Air Traffic in simulation training:
- Embry-Riddle is partnered with Frasca to develop interactive air traffic control communications scenarios embedded in simulation curricula. Our experience suggests enhancements to air traffic control interaction in simulation beyond what is possible with instructor emulation will allow better transfer of learning and lead to more effective training, better utilization of flight training devices, and shorter, more efficient programs.
- Normobaric technologies:
- Normobaric technologies is a breakthrough atmospheric chemistry management methodology to demonstrate hypoxia and other altitude-related events without the use of a hyperbaric chamber.
- Low Cost Training Aircraft:
- For several years NTAS has explored the LSA market and asked manufacturers to speak to their utility, payload, instrument training applicability, durability, maintainability, and reliability in high-utilization collegiate training. These aircraft have now been around long enough for manufacturers to respond with credible system life cycle costs, a critical success factor for both institutions and their student customers.
